The Wonthaggi and surrounding coastlines features numerous sandy beaches as well as rocks and reefs. Popular beaches include Cutlers Beach, Williamsons Beach, Baxters Beach and the Mouth of the Powlett River.
The Big Red Kidney Bus will be in Wonthaggi from Monday 15 January to Saturday 17 February.
Enriched with history, Wonthaggi is the perfect place to explore heritage sites, walking trails and beaches. A town built on the coal industry; Wonthaggi’s retired mine offers a glimpse into the town’s history. Tour the heritage buildings and the interpretive displays or enjoy the nearby walking trials and picnic areas.
Neighbouring towns across the Bass Coast also have much to offer. Visit Kilundra to experience the popular cafes and restaurants in or stop by Cape Paterson to browse organic produce available at the Goshen Country Farm.
All dialysis sessions on the Bus are free of charge and there is no limitation on the number of sessions that can be booked allowing visitors to book for a week or four weeks should they wish!
